The Elements have been working in the forest industry since the 1930s.
Patrick Element succeeds his father as the head of the Element Group. Patrick Element has nearly 25 years of experience in the field. In addition to his practical knowledge, his dynamism, professionalism and dedication to the forestry field are the base of company’s success.
Patrick Element starts his career in the company of his grandfather Donat Element and Son. His first work experience in the parts’ department allowed him to acquire essential knowledge and to start his own project.
In 1996, Patrick Element founded his own company: Foresterie Forestech Inc. For 12 years he functioned as a major logging contractor in the Abitibi-Temiscamingue region. Endowed with a sense of leadership, he knows how to bring organization, strategy and rigor to all new projects.
Always dynamic and ready to overcome challenges, in 2008, Patrick Element became the President of Equipments Element.
Three years later, he acquired Volvo’s forestry division and, accompanied by his father and brother-in-law, Patrick Element founds the fifth company of the Element Group: PSW Element Technologies Inc., and becomes its President. For the first time in Quebec, it was launching the high-tech forestry equipment production. As a Manager, Mr. Element plays a leading role in promoting of the ELTEC brand, growing business volume and fulfilling PSW Element Technologies Inc.’s mission.
By LOGGERS for LOGGERS becomes not only a corporate slogan of ELTEC, but also a working concept of the entire team of professionals working for Technologies Element PSW Inc.
In 2017, Patrick Element becomes the owner and President of the Element Group.
Patrick Element has two children, one of whom follows in his father’s footsteps. Tristan Element works for one of the Element Group’s companies: Hydraulique Val d’Or.
Stephane Element, the General Manager of Technologies Element PSW Inc. (previously Director of Production) has 20 years of experience. In 1998 he began his studies in industrial maintenance at Abitibi-Temiscamingue College. One year after his graduation, Stéphane Element applies gained knowledge in the family forestry business. In 2010 the forest crisis determines the changes in his career. Stephane Element leaves the forestry field and starts working at the Canadian Malartic mine as a foreman-crusher.
However, being still passionate about forestry, in the fall of 2012 he became the Production Manager of the newly created company, PSW Element Technologies Inc. The first ELTEC harvesters, currently exported all over the world, were produced under his supervision.
With his experience as Production Manager, in September 2016, Stephane Element is nominated as General Manager of Technologies Element PSW Inc.
His unifying leadership, extensive industry knowledge, and forestry experience are very important assets that help him to manage effectively the PSW Element Technologies Inc. team and to take up daily professional challenges.
Both of them know the ups and downs of the forest industry; Supported by a dynamic team, they innovate, conceptualize and improve daily the ELTEC machinery.
